General Information

Q: What is MagicMeets?
A: MagicMeets is an annual event where Disney fans from online communities gather to share their interest in all things Disney!

Q: Who is MagicMeets for?
A: It’s for Disney Fans of all ages! If you enjoy Disney parks, movies, collectables, cartoons, characters, scrap booking and more, you’ll love our gathering.

Q: Can I bring my kids to MagicMeets?
A: Of course you can! We even have activities planned especially for them. These include arts and crafts, a magician, face painting, temporary tattoos, pin trading, and more!

While we do allow kids of any age to attend, children under the age of three may not find much to do at our event. We recommend that a family member or friend can travel with you and entertain the little ones with the many local activities in the Harrisburg area that they may enjoy while you are at MagicMeets. Please also note that there is no babysitting service available at the event and MagicMeets is not responsible for the safety or well being of anyone's children during the event.

Q: What events are planned for this year?
A: We have so many exciting surprises planned; we simply can’t fit them all here! Please visit our About the Event page to get this year’s details.

Q: How can I make hotel reservations for the event?
A: We’ve booked a block of discounted rooms at our event’s location: The Radisson Penn Harris Hotel & Convention Center in Camp Hill, PA. Please call :(717) 763-7117 to make your hotel reservations and be sure to mention the group code “MAGIC MEETS” to get the discounted rate. Please see the Hotel and Room Information section on our Event Info page for details.

Q: Is the event location and hotel accessible for people with physical disabilities?
A: Of course! We chose this hotel and event location with accessibility in mind. After all, we want every one of our friends to be able to share in the magic! Guests with special needs that are staying at the hotel should request a first floor room as there is no elevator in the hotel.

Q: How can I volunteer for MagicMeets?
A: We’re always happy to have extra help making our event even more magical! Please email colleen@magicmeets.com and include your name and how you’d like to help.

Q: How may I donate an item for the Silent Auction?
A: The DisneyWorldTrivia.com Dream Team Project is accepting donations of new, mint-as-new, collectible, or unique Disney-related merchandise or experiences. Deadline for donations is June 15, 2009. Please contact Pat Whitson at pat@wdwradio.com to make arrangements for any and all donations.

 

About Registration

Q: How do I register?
A: It’s simple! Visit our Register Now! Page, enter information for each member of your party, then simply lock-in your registration by paying by credit card or PayPal. Our events book up fast! Make sure you sign up for our email newsletter to find out when registration for the next MagicMeets event becomes open to the public.

Q: What is the cost to register?
A: MagicMeets 2009 Saturday Main Event admission is $65.00 per adult and $30.00 per child. Children under three years old are free. This cost covers buffet-style lunch, soft drinks, coffee, and deserts, prizes and access to Saturday keynote sessions and all of our Saturday break-out room sessions.

Q: What payment options are available for registration?
A: Most payments are processed via PayPal. Through them you can pay by credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover) or use your deduct from your existing account balance. No checks or cash will be accepted.

Q: Can I transfer/sell my ticket to another person?

A: If for some reason you've already paid and cannot attend MagicMeets Disney Fans Gathering, you can request permission to transfer your ticket to someone else by emailing support@magicmeets.com. "NO" tickets can be transferred "OR" sold without Fred Block's prior "written" consent. Our registration process ties each admission ticket to a specific attendee, helping us deter any undesirable practices that could lessen the magic for our guests.

Q: What is your refund policy?
A: For the 2009 MagicMeets event, we will allow a 50% refund for any person that has already paid and needs to cancel prior to May 15th, 2009. After that date there will be no refunds. If for some reason you cannot attend, you may transfer your admission to someone else, but we will not be able to refund your money. "NO" tickets can be transferred "OR" sold without Fred Block's prior "written" consent. For more details, please see our MagicMeets Terms & Conditions.

Q: What is your privacy policy?
A: We promise that the information gathered in the registration system will be used solely for MagicMeets events and will not be shared with any other parties that are not related to MagicMeets functions. To report any abuse or violations of this policy, please send an email to support@magicmeets.com with complete details for us to research.

 

About Ticketed Events

Q: Why do you have all these new ticketed events, anyways?
A: Due to an overwhelming request on our survey last year for more events through the whole weekend, we added these events to give you even MORE time with friends and fellow disney fans.

Q: What exciting things do you have planned for the ticketed events?
A: Well, it's way too much to write it all here! Check out our About the Event section for details on the Friday and Sunday ticketed events.

Q: Can I attend ticketed events if I'm not attending the Saturday Event?
A: Sorry! The Friday "Meet before the Magic" and Sunday breakout meets are reserved for MagicMeets attendees only. If you know a MagicMeets attendee who is going to the Sunday Hersheypark Meet, THEY can contact cindy@magicmeets.com and purchase group rate tickets for you.

Q: Why do you have to be a hotel guest to attend some ticketed events?
A: We reserve events like the Friday "Meet before the Magic" Event for Radisson attendee hotel guests only so that they can make their longer planned weekend extra special! So, with the aid of our event sponsors, it's a way for us to say "thank you" to our attendees who are hotel guests. In addition, filling our complete block of hotel rooms keeps the cost of event admission as low as possible for you.

Q: Are children invited to the ticketed events?
A: Sure they are! There are many aspects of our ticketed events that kids will love, including a wandering magician, prize giveaways, and more. And if your children prefer more active events, make sure to book your family discounted group rate tickets at our Sunday Hersheypark event! Please note that the Friday night and Sunday "Breakfast and Breakouts" sessions are one price for adults & children.

Q: Can I attend both the Sunday Breakfast and Hersheypark events?
A: Of course! We planned it so that you can enjoy the breakfast buffet in the early morning, then hightail it over to Hersheypark for another full day of fun! Check our Sunday events page for breakfast times and event details.

Q: Can I buy Hersheypark tickets for friends who aren't attendees?
A: You sure can. Please email cindy@magicmeets.com with your name, MagicMeets registration login email (but not your password) and the number of ADDITIONAL guests you require tickets for. We'll arrange for an additional payment via PayPal and make sure your tickets will be waiting for you to pick up at the Saturday morning event check-in tables. In order to take advantage of senior discounted group rate for the Hersheypark tickets, you MUST contact cindy@magicmeets.com to request and purchase senior tickets. Our online reservation system only handles adult and children prices, based on the age of the child when they were registered.

Q: How do I unregister someone in my group from a ticketed event?
A: That's easy! Login to your account in our Event Registration System. In the list of your attendees and events, click the "delete" link at the far right column for the attendee's event you wish to remove. That's it. Please note that once you've paid for your ticketed event, you will not be able to 'unregister' or receive a refund.

Q: Can I return to buy ticketed events for other guests on my account?
A: Yes, you can add and pay for ticketed events for any number of your guests in your group, any number of times. All of your guests need to be paid attendees of the MagicMeets Saturday Main event. Please watch the payment deadlines for ticketed event (see our About the Event section for details on the Friday and Sunday ticketed events) and note that the Friday "Meet Before the Magic" event is open to a limited number of guests (staying at the Radisson Hotel) and may sell out.

Q: Can I get a refund on any of the ticketed events once I've paid?
A: Sorry. Once ticketed events are paid for, we will not be able to refund anyone for tickets to events at the hotel, or Hersheypark tickets.
